What is a Creative?
I want to honor creativity in all its forms—and really, creating in all its forms.
Because I don’t believe the term creative should encompass only those who engage in art-related endeavors.
Did you know that nursing is considered both a science and an art? It’s considered a science for its adherence and implementation of evidence based practice within healthcare, yet an art because of the individual practice that the nurse develops over his or her career. When the nurse comforts a patient who is grieving, he or she is practicing the art of nursing.
I believe creative should be used in a similar way—open ended.
Thus, I’ve crafted the following definition for the term creative:
you are a creative if you’ve ever created visually, if you’ve ever created using your voice or through writing, if you’ve ever created your brand or business, or if you’ve ever created your future or yourself as a person.
How are you a creative? In what ways do you create? Leave a comment or message me directly to let me know!
